InsiderLog is a cloud-based software that lets listed companies automate their administration of inside information and insider lists in a way that saves time and ensures compliance with the EU Market Abuse Regulation (MAR).
Today InsiderLog is used by more than 450 legal departments in nine countries, as well as by professional advisors like DLA Piper, KPMG and PwC.
InsiderLog was originally developed by Serendipity, a Swedish investment group with five listed portfolio companies. This was done as a response to MAR that came into effect in 2016, which resulted in an increased administrative burden on the legal team. Instead of turning to external service providers Serendipity decided to develop their own digital tool to manage with this new workload. After having used InsiderLog for some time internally Serendipity started getting questions about it from other legal departments in Swedish listed companies. In December 2016 the product was launched externally and InsiderLog the company was established.
In January 2018, Euronext acquired 80% of InsiderLog and became the new majority stakeholder. Euronext is the leading pan-European exchange, operating regulated markets in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Portugal, Ireland, Norway and the UK. As a result of this, InsiderLog is part of Euronext’s corporate services that are offered to all +1200 companies listed on their markets.
